CINEPIANO PRESENTS NOSFERATU - Hexham Abbey
Friday 17th June 9pm

Screenings of ‘silent’ films were, in fact, rarely silent – they were almost always accompanied by music. CINEPIANO is a tribute to this magical, lost experience. Scoring classic silent movies, Brazilian composer and pianist Tony Berchmans improvises by blending excerpts of classical and folk music with his own original music inspired by vintage styles such as ragtime, traditional jazz or stride piano. Created in 2010, the CINEPIANO project has toured around Brazil and Europe and now arrives in Hexham!

Tickets £15

Book a table at The Refectory and enjoy a meat or cheese platter and glass of wine or beer before the film for £10 - space limited so booking is essential on 01434 - 602031.

Picnic in the Cloister – bring your own food - the bar will be open in the Abbey porch from 7pm.

One of the highlights of the racing calendar and described by one commentator as the 'Ascot of the North'. Picking winners in the fashion stakes is more difficult than picking winners on the racecourse.
