Hexham Round Table's flagship event, and probably the biggest event of the year with upwards of 12,000 people descending on Hexham to enjoy a feast for the eyes.
The Hexham bonfire and fireworks extravaganza is held each year on The Sele on the Saturday nearest to 5th November. It was established by Hexham Round Table in 1956, and attracts crowds upwards of 12,000 (weather permitting, of course). The event itself is entirely self-funding, and allows Hexham Round Table to make donations to local charities and community organisations throughout the year. See here for more details nearer the time.
