Hexham Gathering is a celebration of youth music, song and dance! From workshops in the morning, youth performances in the afternoon to our fantastic headliner in the evening – this is a full day of music, folk and fun for all the family.
Music at the Bandstand, Hexham, 12noon-4pm
Come and hear some fantastic young performers from across the North East. This family friendly afternoon is a great opportunity to support young musicians and dancers as they sing, dance and play in the beautiful surroundings of Sele Park. Bring a picnic and enjoy the music. Please note, even though we will crossing our fingers for a sunny day, the music will still carry on inside if we have inclement weather!
Don’t just sit and watch – get up and dance! Young musicians will be playing for an open air ceilidh from 2pm.

Kathryn Tickell & The Darkening embrace that global perspective, bringing some of the oldest Northumbrian tunes and songs throbbing to life, intermingling them with new material and binding it all together with contemporary resonance and attitude.
