Spook Night is one of Hexham's biggest events. The town becomes the centre of all things fearsome and frightful and attracts thousands of people, many of them in fancy dress.
The event takes place on Saturday 29th October around Beaumont Street, Market Place and the Abbey Grounds with fairground rides, hot food, fancy dress competitions for all ages (including a best-dressed pet category!), pumpkin and turnip carving, witches' den and spooky dancing around the bandstand. Look out too for shocking shop windows, spine-chilling storytelling , foul face-painting, a petrifying pumpkin trail and an eerie escape room. Download the Spook Night Activities and Timings for more info. See you there... if you dare!
