Hexham has a busy programme of events throughout the year, ranging from the Tyne Tour – Europe’s largest mass participation canoeing event - to book, film and music festivals, as well as the hugely popular Bonfire Night, Christmas Market and Spook Night. Other regular events include a fortnightly farmers' market and various arts events, plus a full programme of films, plays, concerts and exhibitions at the Queen's Hall and Forum Cinema.
