Once you're here, Hexham town centre is compact and easy to get around on foot, with the Market Place being a natural, central landmark to explore from. The Tourist Information Centre and Library are situated in the Queen's Hall on Beaumont Street.
There are numerous car parks, some of which are free, however you often need to display a parking disc. Discs cost £1 and are available in many businesses around Hexham, including the Wentworth Leisure Centre in Wentworth Carpark. The Wentworth Carpark is by far the largest carpark and is within a few minutes walk of the Market Place.
Clustered around its market place and medieval Abbey, Hexham features glorious Victorian buildings overlooking the park and historic buildings dotted around town, home to art galleries, pubs, cinema, quirky music venues and much more.
