Getting Around

On Foot

Once you're here, Hexham town centre is compact and easy to get around on foot. Hexham Abbey and the Market Place are central landmarks to explore from. The Tourist Information Centre and Library are situated in the Queen's Hall on Beaumont Street.

There are numerous car parks, some of which are free, however you often need to display a parking disc. Discs cost £1 and are available in many businesses around Hexham, including the Wentworth Leisure Centre in Wentworth Car Park. The Wentworth Car Park is by far the largest carpark and is within a few minutes' walk of the Market Place. You'll also find long stay spaces behind Hexham's Travelodge hotel.
